History

1958

FELIX Austria was founded by Herbert Felix.

Herbert Felix was born in 1908 and grew up in Znaim (Czech Republic). His father was CEO of an factory producing canned food, in which he also took part. In 1939 Herbert Felix went to Sweden, where he founded "AB Felix". After years he went to Mattersburg, where he found the perfect sourroundings for an affiliated company.

 

1959

In 1959 Felix AUSTRIA started with building up a cannery in Mattersburg.


1965

FELIX Austria has launched baby food.

1968

At FELIX vegetables get manufactured harvest fresh.

1969

Acquisition of Phönix at Raasdorf and Bruck

1982

FELIX fill up its ketchup in plastic bottles.

FELIX Austria was awarded with the Austrian national coat of arms.

1992

FELIX Austria obtains the Austrian Marketing price for model marketing "You don't have to be named FELIX to love FELIX."

 

 

1995

In 1995 FELIX Austria became part of the Orkla ASA, which is a Skandinavian consortium.

The Orkla Group has a turnover of 70 billion NOK (about 8,8 billion EUR) with 35.000 employees.

1998

Launch of Ketchup without preservatives. FELIX ketchup gets cured with slow cooking.

 

2006

Successful launch of FELIX Ketchup with no sugar added.
Our new Ketchup with no sugar added is the one and only ketchup with the same taste, but it has 60% less calories.

 

2008

FELIX Austria is elected as second best employer in Austria!

2009

FELIX Austria starts its new apprenticeship programm.

2010

FELIX implements a new safty concept. A year without a work accident!!

2011

Successful introduction of the FELIX Subbrand "Hellfire".
